Hotel Maria Isabel

During the week this place is awesome, but weekends were no good for us. They rent the whole pool area to the public for parties and gatherings. Every table and chair was taken, and the waiters were busy with those visitors instead of hotel guests. I’ve never seen anything like it.

The rooms feel a bit dated, like the 90s, but they’re comfortable. Wi-Fi measured 10mbps, which was enough for most things, even though someone had said it wasn’t great. My only real gripe was the soap and shampoo. They were just okay, and better products or at least some conditioner would’ve been nice. The pools were very clean and thoughtfully laid out, with alcoves and lots of concrete seating. There are three pools, two water slides, and a kiddie pool area. It’s an honestly great mix of a drive-up motel, in the American sense, and a mini water park.

The whole staff were friendly, and Pastor and his team paid close attention to what we needed.

There are lots of shops nearby, and it’s close to festivals in Colima. The beds were comfy, the pools were great for the kids, and the gym was amazing. There were also many exotic things around the hotel. Definitely stay here if you love Mexican culture and food.
