Corazón Del Café Hotel Boutique

The rooms are nice and remodeled, with free Netflix and a smart TV. But this hotel is called corazón del café and still doesn't offer coffee for free. You have to wait until 8:30 a.m. to buy it, with not even a small discount. We checked in Friday afternoon, and only at midnight did they tell us about a planned power outage from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. We had no water for showers, and I couldn't flush the toilet after using it. At checkout, they made us wait while the maid went into our room to check that we hadn't stolen anything. I wouldn't recommend staying until they start providing coffee and treat customers better. It's ridiculous and ironic for a hotel built around coffee not to provide it.

The restaurant on site was spectacular, and breakfast was great. The hotel is clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had lots of hot water. It's close to everything in the central area. A very nice place, and one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Mexico.

The cafe never opened during our three-day stay, and nobody attended to the room. The service was poor from check-in through checkout. They couldn't find my Expedia reservation even though I showed it on my phone, and then the price they quoted was higher than Expedia's. When we said we'd go elsewhere, the "manager" agreed to the Expedia price. The manager then suggested their off-site parking and asked if he could park our car there. At that point, it felt like they were looking for tips. At checkout, they wanted to inspect the room to make sure we hadn't stolen towels. Seriously? I'm a platinum Amex holder, which they accepted grudgingly. Do they really think I need their towels?

The hot chocolate is the best I've had in all of Mexico, highly recommend it. The hotel is beautiful, super clean, and well serviced.
