Hotel Central Parador

I picked this hotel because it’s close to the bus station, and the price was reasonable. The room was small, the bed was hard, and the linens looked old. It’s somewhere in the middle, neither the best nor the worst.

The rooms are pretty basic and on the small side, though the beds are comfortable. The remodeled ones have nice bathrooms, and there’s a good restaurant and a pleasant pool on site. It’s an inexpensive place to stay near Guadalajara’s Central Bus Station.

We used to stay here every year since the central bus station is right in front, but then the price started going up for no apparent reason. There’s no WiFi, cable, AC, or heater, and the beds are basically a cement base with a mattress on top. The service has always been bad, with young women at the desk who seem unwilling to spend their pressured time doing the job. We did love the pool and the meals available at 1 am.

This hotel is right inside the bus station, but the price felt way too high for what you get. Signs outside advertised $315 pesos, then the desk said that rate was outdated and offered the usual $490 pesos. Our room was tiny, about 3x3 mts, and the 1x2.5 mts bathroom was in rough shape. The toilet seat was broken, the sink leaked, and there was a hole in the bathroom door. They advertised safety deposit boxes at reception too, but the girl at the desk couldn’t find the keys.
