The staff seemed a little scattered, and we had to switch rooms before we finally got checked in. The first room they showed us was quite small, but the one we had was clean and a good size. It's pet friendly at 100 pesos per pet per night. The AC and ceiling fan both worked, and the early 1 pm check-in was nice.

The Wi-Fi is very weak. Room cleaning was also minimal and only happened when I asked: they swept the floor and took out the trash, nothing more. During my 10 days there, I had to ask on the 8th day to finally get the garbage removed, the room cleaned, and more soap and toilet paper.

The hosts were great and accommodating, and the room was clean and in order. I had a pleasant two-night stay. It's a posada, so the front door gets locked very late at night; ring the bell and they'll let you in. The location is handy, just two short blocks from the Zócalo, with a plaza, church, eateries at different price points, and easy-to-find taxis. Walk to the left on the other side of the Zócalo and there's a karaoke bar, pharmacy, another OXXO!, bank, and good tacos off the main street. Across the street, the tours agency was fantastic. My buddy and I got a great price for a waterfall tour, with a personal chauffeur and guide for our group of five. The guide was extremely knowledgeable on the drive up the mountain.
