My room was spacious, with a great view of Puerto Vallarta and the bay, and breakfast each morning was excellent with several options. This is a quiet little BnB, with just three rooms as far as I could tell, and it was ideal for a laid-back getaway in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. The owner was very kind and helpful. When the AC gave me a little trouble on my first day, he moved me to a room where it worked perfectly, no fuss. There’s also a small infinity pool. I’d happily stay again.

Villa Bella is a peaceful retreat from the busy town below. You can take in the views of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle from the pool or a lounge chair, making it a perfect spot for a quiet weekend away. Rosa and Manuel were incredibly welcoming and generous.

We arrived after booking and found that they’d misplaced our reservation. Mistakes happen, and thankfully we found somewhere else to stay. But then they tried to charge my credit card for a stay that never took place. I had to get the card company involved to recover the money. The owners were incredibly dishonest. Avoid this place!

We came back for a second year, which says a lot. It’s a lovely place, unusual in a good way, with clean, bright, well-kept grounds that made for an exceptional stay.

Nice menu and infinity pool, with a beautiful view of the marina and PV. From the back, you can see the bay beginning to the east toward Bucerías.
