The nearby beaches were in much better shape, with restaurants and bars. The beach at this property, honestly, was crap. Our condo itself was very nice, but we hadn’t realized it was over an hour from downtown Puerto Vallarta, which is in another state.

The drive from the Zona Hotelera is a bit long, but for us it was worth it. The place is quiet and seems to draw a more mature crowd; we haven’t seen any kids so far. There’s cleaning staff around all the time and the lobby feels like a hotel, with professional management. Our little suite’s layout was impressive. It’s basically a two-bedroom apartment packed into a studio-sized unit, with a full kitchen. The design is clever, and there’s tons of storage thanks to the impressive millwork. Everything feels new and fresh, from the elegant suite decor to the stylish condo development on La Manzanilla Beach. No need to bring bottled water, since there are dispensers in the rooms.
