Hotel Grand Vista Cuernavaca

For the premium rates, I expected much better. The place felt like a poorly maintained motel, and the billing left me questioning its transparency. I got an email saying an amount had been charged, but at check-in it turned out no charge had gone through. That's especially concerning because the cancellation policy says any amount already charged will be kept if you cancel. The bedding was awful. The sheets were dirty, stained, and covered in hair. We had them changed twice, but each new set was worse, so I had to wonder about the laundry process. The rugs also had unidentifiable stains. Towels were scarce too: just one hand towel and two bath towels for a room meant for two. We couldn't get a quiet rest. Noise from the lobby and neighboring rooms came straight through, and the nearly sheer curtains let the first sunlight into the room. The whole stay was far from satisfactory. I've seen motels with better cleanliness, soundproofing, and more straightforward billing than this three-star hotel. I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere.

I have such fond memories of this place. The service is excellent, and the views of Cuernavaca are the best I've seen. To me, it's the best hotel in Mexico.

The place is nice and clean, with places to eat or get a drink nearby. Downtown Cuernavaca is a little far, though. There are spots downtown you need to visit, and each trip there takes about 30 to 40 minutes one way.

From the outside, the hotel looks fine, but the rooms need updating. There's also a bar/nightclub next door, and the music is loud.
