The rooms were okay, though they could do more to block sound. At night I kept waking up to banging somewhere in the hotel or plaza, and our room faced the gym, where music started at 8:30 am. The building is so narrow, even the elevators, that moving suitcases is awkward, and the sign by the desk leaves hardly any room to get through the entrance. The hotel has a nice concept and plenty going on, but it doesn’t all come together. There’s no A/C either, which I don’t mind, though some people will care.

The lobby and rooms are beautifully decorated, and everything was very clean with sanitizing protocols in place. The lobby staff paid close attention to what we needed, and the service felt completely personal. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip to Mexico.

It’s a distinctive, charming little hotel, and the staff are really attentive. There are enough restaurants to please everyone, with reasonable prices, and the bread comes pretty close to authentic French bread. Highly recommend it.

After a tiring arrival, finding out the beds were tiny was a pretty awful surprise. I’d specifically asked for two queen beds because I know how different a double and a queen can be in Mexico, but they looked like singles. Their reservation process is rudimentary, so it comes down to their word against yours. Once you’ve paid, they don’t take responsibility or seem willing to find a solution, no matter how clearly you explain it. They only offered another room for 50% off, which felt like what they were after all along. They don’t have the established standards you’d expect at other hotels, and that’s a risk. I don’t recommend staying here.
