This was a terrible stay from the moment we arrived. The room was dirty, dated, and badly maintained, and the hotel absolutely isn't a 4-star property. The towels were disgusting. The hand/face towel had visible holes and looked like something that should have been thrown away, not left in a guest room, and the bath towels were in similarly bad condition. I attached photos as evidence. The room and bathroom counters had white stains, and there was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom. The phone didn't work when I tried calling the front desk for clean towels. The door wouldn't close properly, and traffic and people talking outside were constantly audible, making it hard to rest. Cleanliness clearly wasn't a priority. When I asked to move rooms, staff said it wasn't possible. I asked for a manager but was told none was available. The staff seemed untrained and uninterested in handling basic concerns. This fell far below what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms are large and pleasant, with fans, air conditioning, and big opening windows. The complex is good, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The towels could use an update. Nice pool.

The rooms were the weakest part for me. There were plenty of TV channels and the shower got nice and hot, though the water pressure was poor. I also found dust in the closet, and some bathroom fixtures looked old and had rust and scale that seemed permanent. Thin walls and windows let in the next room’s TV and street noise, which cut into privacy. Casa Francisco feels set up mainly for business travelers who need somewhere to sleep. I wouldn’t pick it for a family or a couple on a busy weekend. The pools seemed small for the number of guests, and while breakfast had a decent range, there wasn’t much choice for other meals. Staff were friendly and helpful apart from a few people in management. It was a good stay, just not a great one.

The one thing that bothered us was room service. We left the DND sign up while we were out, but the room was cleaned anyway. It wasn’t a disaster, though we’re private people and would rather skip cleaning during a stay. Otherwise, this was a nice, fairly priced hotel for families, with a pool and kids’ play area. The rooms were roomy, clean, and in good shape, and the lobby restaurant was pleasant. Staff were accommodating and very helpful, and most could speak English. When the mini-fridge didn’t work, they replaced it quickly.

The hotel itself seemed clean, and the open areas felt cozy. For the price, the quality was probably its strongest point. I may just have had bad luck, since the bathroom drains smelled really bad. We got there at 11 in the morning and were told we couldn’t access the hotel without paying for early check-in. I understand there are set check-in times, but guests who arrived in front of us at the same time were given their room without a problem. I’m not comfortable with early check-in fees, which don’t seem very common. I’ve tried to be as objective as I can.
