Corazón de Niebla

We stayed with friends and a large dog, and they made sure our pet was comfortable. The service was excellent and everyone was so friendly. They bring delicious coffee each morning, take breakfast orders a day ahead, and are great at suggesting activities and local guides. 100% recommended.

Breakfast was a 10/10, absolutely delicious, and you can bring your pet too. The place is welcoming and very close to the center of Cuetzalan. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, and our whole family was well looked after. They treated the senior in our group like royalty and gave her every attention she needed. Everything was excellent, though the drive from Mexico City took two hours longer than the map said.

The rooms were covered in mold. They blame the damp climate, but it was clear they weren’t doing anything to prevent it or fix it. When we complained, they tried to refund our stay and send us out to find another hotel at 9 on a Saturday night. As if that weren’t enough, there’s a school right next door that they rent out for parties. The first night, loud music went on until 2 am, and the second night until 4. They also serve drinking water in reused plastic bottles and dilute the bath soap. All of this is harmful to guests’ health. I went hoping to rest and be close to nature, and came back with my lungs full of spores and my blood full of microplastics.

Las Brisas waterfalls are very close, about a 10-minute walk away. The staff are really friendly and do their best to pamper guests.
