Fiesta Inn Culiacan

The room was a decent size, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. But it stayed very cold. Leaving the heat on for hours only raised the temperature by two degrees, and coming back to that icy room wasn’t good. The shower had plenty of space, but the spray couldn’t be adjusted, so I kept bumping into the hand rail. Water stayed lukewarm or shifted from lukewarm to cold. We tried breakfast once, which cost $20 per person. We could only manage fruit and cereal, and the coffee was lukewarm. There was margarine but no butter for the toast. Other items looked as if they’d been sitting in the warmer too long. That was surprising since breakfast opens at 6am and we arrived at 6:30. They also make omelettes to order.

Our stay was great, although the hallways seemed less clean than usual, perhaps because they were short staffed. At check-in I ran into an issue, and supervisor Alicia resolved it immediately. They also sent a birthday treat and a lovely letter to my room for my wife. We really appreciated that. Thanks, Alicia, for your professionalism.

Service was good, and this is a decent property for a Fiesta Inn. My first stay here was a pleasant surprise: the bedroom was sparkling clean, and the shower and A/C actually worked. I’m holding back a better rating because there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom. It can also get noisy if your bedroom faces the entrance.

The breakfast buffet was really good, with lots of choices, including Mexican food and American staples like sausages and waffles. There’s a mall right next to the hotel, and Ley supermarket is an easy walk away for snacks. I really enjoyed the stay. The hotel was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
