Royal Level at Occidental Cozumel - All Inclusive

I loved the beach snorkeling, energetic aquasize, gym, and traditional Mexican dance. The grounds are beautiful, with great landscaping, and the maintenance crew works around the clock and is top notch. I’m gluten sensitive, and the wait staff went out of their way to bring gluten-free bread and treats for me. Cristy, Michelle, and Itzel deserve a special mention for repeatedly great service. Honestly, the staff were all friendly and looked out for me and my mom when I had special food needs.

For a first stay at an all-inclusive, this was a great experience. The buffet had a good range for different tastes, and we enjoyed the a-la-cart restaurants too. The grounds were lovely, with lush plants and three-story residences spread across the property. The beach pool offered lovely ocean views. The beach has a swimming area where you can snorkel, though there wasn’t much to see, but it was still fun. We also liked spending afternoons at the more sheltered adult pool. Every staff member we met was welcoming, friendly, and hardworking. Raina at the adult pool bar made fabulous drinks. At the restaurants, we appreciated Shany Aguilar, Michelle GyDuyana, Cindy, Levy, Alejandro, Karina, Crisiy (5*), Isandra, and Luis (Captain), Brenda, Eduardo, Jorge, Euolin,Samos and Eduardo. Odyliss, Marie Cruz, and Montserrat at Royal Club Reception were wonderfully friendly too. Everyone made us feel special and well cared for.

The rooms were comfortable, the beds were good, and the location is beautiful. Every time we left our room, it felt like we were walking through a forest. I’ve never had better bar service. Servando Ortega is a master at leading his team, and we loved visiting him and the crew each night. Vando, Andri, April, and Laura, thanks for making a great trip even better. I can’t wait to come back!

The Mexican restaurant was off the charts, and I had the best fish I’ve ever tasted. We tried all the food and venues except the Mediterranean place, which we didn’t get a chance to visit. The Mexican restaurant requires reservations, and if the Mediterranean one was just as good, I’m sure we missed something delicious. The food was good, with plenty of choices. It was a beautiful, relaxing place, and the friendly service made it feel like a proper vacation. Anything we needed was either there or sorted out, including a car rental and an excursion. Thank you, Michael Lima! Michael Lima was excellent, friendly, easy to talk to and work with, and I really enjoyed our conversations. Isaias was also a great, friendly guy who knew his job and was good to talk with. Johnny be good!!, not sure if I’ve spelled that right, was super nice and helpful, and we had some great conversations too. If you get the chance, stay at the Occidental in Cozumel. You won’t regret it.
