Hotelito El Cuyo

The restaurant on site was absolutely delicious. I had the best gnocchi of my life there. The owners are Italian, which made sure the food was good. Great stay: the room was very clean, and the kitchen had the basic things needed to make a simple meal.

I booked two nights but only managed to stay one. The Palmera room felt claustrophobic, with only one window looking into a small, dark room. The bed was small and really uncomfortable, and there was a lot of noise at night. The doors are very thin, so you can hear every conversation nearby. There's a restaurant beside the rooms, open until 10 pm. If you want a good night's sleep, avoid this place. The included breakfast at their restaurant was bad. When I said I wouldn't stay the second night I'd paid for, they offered coffee and panacota instead of returning my 1000 pesos. We stayed at casa awakening afterward, right by the beach, and it was pretty good.

The room was clean, and the staff were helpful and smiling. The restaurant seems to be doing really well, so it got a bit noisy, but that was okay. The bed was hard as a rock, though. I'd recommend staying one night at most.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but someone told us to come try the food. It definitely didn't disappoint. The three of us each ordered a different pasta, and every dish was amazing. The food is just delish!! I'll absolutely eat here next time I visit El Cuyo.
