The gardens are stunning, and you can see the care that's gone into them. I learned that the owner, who was there and very welcoming, helps plan and look after them personally. Each room has its own design and character, and the colonial architecture is beautiful throughout. This family-run boutique hotel has a personal feel, with warm, friendly staff who go out of their way to welcome you. We were greeted with margaritas. There's a comfortable outdoor area with fans that make the heat manageable, so it's easy to sit outside with a drink. The quirky bar has a water well feature, a fun surprise. Between the garden, design, and hospitality, it feels like a home away from home and seems well suited to families. Highly recommend it if you're after a special place with character.

The food was really good, and the staff were kind and attentive. The courtyard, restaurant, and bar are gorgeous, and the location is excellent, close to downtown, restaurants, and the El Fuerte Museum. Hotel Torres is a unique place to stay, a beautiful old hacienda turned into a hotel. Each room has its own lovely Mexican-style design.

The native dance show was an authentic cultural experience, and we loved Sr. Torres's humor and wit. He spent time with us sharing stories and family history about the hotel. The rooms each have a distinct theme, tastefully decorated with vintage pieces and family heirlooms. It felt like old-style Mexico, just what we were looking for. The family takes real pride in their heritage, and you can see it in the care they give the grounds, rooms, bar, and restaurant. The kitchen was modern and clean, and the food was delicious, beyond what we expected. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and met all our needs. Our stay at Hotel Torres was exceptional.

The square, church, government palace, and fort are all an easy walk away, and we felt safe and well looked after. We spent the night and had both dinner and breakfast at this historic hacienda, which is more than 400 years old. It really felt like stepping into another time. Amazing stay, highly recommend.

The courtyard is gorgeous, with what look like 400-year-old pieces displayed so elegantly. Each room has its own character, and the whole place is a beautiful historic hotel. The staff were kind and attentive, and it's close to the town center.
