Boskenvid Hotel Boutique, Skypool

We chose this unique, centrally located spot with a great atmosphere for my birthday weekend, and everyone in our group agreed we’d happily stay again. The complimentary breakfast, cocktails and jacuzzi kept us relaxing on-site for several days. Josue was an amazing host, and Juanita the bartender was lots of fun and made the stay more enjoyable. My issue was Luis, an employee who put my friends in the wrong room. When we pointed out the mistake, he got defensive and didn’t offer a price adjustment. A few times, he also tried to charge us again for drinks we’d already paid for, which was frustrating.

It wasn’t peaceful at all. The restaurant is right downstairs and plays music loud enough to hear in the rooms, even with the doors and windows shut. The hot tub was lukewarm. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a quiet retreat in Valle.

The jacuzzi has a beautiful view, and there are good restaurants and bars close by. The road is rough, but I made it through in my rental car.

The room had great beds and pillows, a clean bathroom, and plenty of hot water in the shower. I liked the shaded house and the general feel of the hotel, though road noise came through. There’s nowhere to store luggage, and a few hooks for towels and clothes would help. The pool was clean, but its filter didn’t seem to be working properly: the overflow along the infinity edge wasn’t draining and had algae in it. Getting to the pool also means climbing a rough staircase, and tall people should watch their heads. Breakfast only starts at 9, while dinner service ends at 6. I wish breakfast began earlier and drinks were available into the evening.
