The food at the outdoor restaurant was magnificent, even though it took a long time to arrive. I’d have given the place five stars, but two things really bothered us. We had little kids with us when two gray dogs charged at us, barking aggressively. We later learned they were friendly, but in the moment we didn’t know what to expect. When we told the staff, they brushed it off. The three dogs hanging around while we ate didn’t bother me at first, but they came over for food and sometimes licked our hands unexpectedly. Anyone with allergies, please be aware. We requested two special orders without certain ingredients, but both came with the very items we’d asked them to leave out. That could have been a disaster for someone with a severe sensitivity. To be safe, we ordered a burger instead for those people.

Casa Urbina has a relaxing view, and the room was spacious and clean. The whole place really feels like Valle. I wasn’t very hungry, so I went with a simple green bean salad and enjoyed it. The restaurant also made the best Carajillo I’ve ever had. I absolutely loved this place.

We’re absolutely coming back. Pacifera had the best omelette I’ve ever had, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was large, comfortable, and quiet. It was easy to find, and there are lots of vinicolas nearby. A great place to stay while visiting Guadalupe!

I had a wonderful weekend here for a wedding, apart from one upsetting incident. I believe housekeeping took a gold necklace from my room on the afternoon of 5/8. It was an anniversary gift, and I’m heartbroken. We weren’t there when someone entered the room, sometime after 3pm, and there was no ‘do not disturb’ option. I’m certain the necklace was there before we left that afternoon because I’d thought about wearing it. The hotel searched for it but couldn’t find it. I recommend the hotel, but wouldn’t leave valuables in the rooms.
