Contemplacion Resort & Spa

The huge panoramic window looking over the property made for a lovely start to the day, and the sunsets were magical. Contenplacion in Ensenada was peaceful, clean, and beautifully designed, with a bungalow that combined rustic charm and modern comfort. It felt private and quiet while still being close to great restaurants and the wine route. The employees were warm, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. They shared helpful local recommendations and made us feel right at home. A gem for a romantic escape, relaxing weekend, or a base for exploring Ensenada. I can't wait to come back! California Love Birds!

The place is beautiful and staying here was lovely, though some details could be better. The drive on the street around the hotel is rough, but that's common throughout the valley, so it's useful to know. Breakfast service was a little inconsistent. In the bedrooms, the cold tile floor was unpleasant to step on barefoot, and there were no slippers. Our room could also have used at least two chairs and a coffee table. The weather wasn't good enough to sit outside, so we missed having somewhere comfortable to sit indoors.

The walkable gardens are lovely, and the grounds are beautiful. It's a quiet, comfortable, charming boutique hotel with private rooms, each in its own separate unit built with stone and wood. The rooms have lovely views, and most have private decks. Salvia Blanca, the on-site restaurant, has a beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. The live music wasn't loud, which was great, and the service was friendly and outstanding. Couldn't ask for a nicer place.

The food and drinks were fantastic, and it's great to have an on-site restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There's also a beautiful spa, gym, and pool. The location works well for visiting the Valle. The rooms are comfortable, and the place is quiet and lovely. The staff are kind and attentive. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful stay that far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.
