Corona Hotel & Spa

A good place for one night or a few days. It’s beside the harbor and downtown, and most places are within walking distance.

The hotel looked lovely, and I really thought I’d love it, but the service was incredibly poor. We booked a suite for six, then found that one of the sofa beds didn’t work. When we asked for a rollaway bed, they refused to provide one for free and wanted to charge extra. There are better places to stay in Ensenada. This place seems to nickel-and-dime you for everything, and it wasn’t worth it.

The property itself is nice, and most of the staff were friendly, but our multi-night stay was a letdown. Traffic from the street below was so loud that we woke up several times each night, and the shower water was barely warm. We asked the front desk to address both problems and raise them with management, but nothing was done and we never heard back. At checkout, management accepted no responsibility for either the lack of action or communication. Very disappointing service. I’d recommend another hotel nearby.

The room was great, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful with the accommodations. As a wheelchair user, I pay close attention to bathroom and shower access, and both were accessible here. The one thing that would improve it is a showerhead I could reach, which would make bathing easier.
