Hotel Bahia

They were short-staffed, and even with lots of open tables we still waited at least 30 minutes. We tried sitting at the bar instead, but that backfired: our food took 52 minutes to arrive. The toast, eggs, and sausage were all cold, and the orange juice was bland. They don’t offer the brunch buffet anymore. We wanted to warn the other guests about how long food was taking, and some people got up and left.

The rooms are a little old but decent. The cable or phone didn’t work in our first room, so they moved us to another one with a smaller bed. It was okay for one night, and the customer service was great.

The location is excellent, right downtown, but the hotel needs a lot of attention. The rooms are outdated, and the carpet looks about 20 years old, with stains and pet hair everywhere. The price is about the same as any other downtown hotel.

We arrived without a reservation on a packed weekend in Ensenada, when most hotels were booked and charging twice as much. Hotel Bahia had room for us and kept its usual nightly rate. The building and room are a bit dated, but we had a good stay and the staff treated us well. Thanks to Hotel Bahia and the staff, you've got another customer.
