Sonata Hotel

My mother fell and fractured her wrist during our stay, and the staff immediately helped me get her to the hospital across the street. The receptionist was especially kind: she ordered my medication over the phone and labeled each box with instructions for how often to take it. Every day, the valet and maintenance teams checked on my mom and offered support. Their compassion really touched us. Sonata Towers is spotless, in a great location, and has comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. What sets it apart is how caring, patient, and kind the staff are. It felt like being looked after by family, and I can’t recommend the hotel enough.

Just a regular hotel. I didn’t care for the high beds, and the fire alarm went off at night. It was extremely loud and uncomfortable, the first time I’ve ever experienced that in a hotel. The alarm light in the rooms also made it hard to sleep, and I’d add chairs to the rooms. The service was nice, and we were lucky to meet a friendly receptionist.

Being able to walk to my office, shops, and restaurants made this a really convenient base in Puebla. The rooms were quiet and clean, and I especially liked the blackout curtains. The hotel also has a broad view, and there’s a 24-hour convenience store across from the lobby in the same building, handy for a late-night snack or drink. The staff were friendly. I couldn’t figure out what the bar downstairs was for, though, since I never saw any service there. I’d stay again.

The city view is nice and the rooms are a decent size, but the service has been a mess. It’s my third day here and my air conditioning still hasn’t been fixed, even though they said someone would come. The towels are very old and worn, and my room seems to be missing a wastebasket, so I’m using the ice bucket instead. There’s a coffee machine, but no coffee cup to drink from. The location is good, at least. This service is kind of ridiculous.
