The grounds are fun to explore, with sculptures, a gift shop, an agave field, a pool, a fire pit, and a jacuzzi that was very hot. Our detached room had its own little patio and was just the right size for a couple. They also have a poolside suite that seems suited to a family or group of friends. Breakfast was the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had: fresh juice, coffee, fruit and yogurt, plus a hot dish you choose, all tasting like a proper restaurant meal. The staff welcomed us with a shot, and when they learned we were celebrating a birthday, they made it feel extra special. Prices are reasonable, the staff are genuinely friendly, and Los Amantes is my regular choice when I’m in Valle. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting the wineries.

The grounds were lovely and kept in good shape, parking felt secure and was close to our room, and the staff were very nice. Still, I wouldn’t come back at this price. I paid $300 after camping, hoping for a nice place over NYE. Maybe booking last minute on a holiday was my mistake, but the stay didn’t meet the price. I picked this hotel for the hot tub, then found out it was broken, with no mention of that on the website. Our room faced the pool and a busy covered concrete and metal walkway. It was dark, and people at the pool would make it noisy. The concrete and metal also made the room cold and carried sounds from upstairs footsteps and other rooms’ pipes. The hot water pipes were exposed, and by the time hot water reached the shower it was lukewarm. The floor-to-ceiling windows faced the pool and walkway, with only curtains for privacy. They were so hard to close that I scraped my knuckles on the concrete wall. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy and awful, and I found a dead bug and hair in the bed 🤢. The bar menu was odd and mostly mezcal drinks. They made a tequila margarita when I asked, but it wasn’t good. Breakfast coffee was cold.

The decor and setup were nice, and we really liked the complimentary bottle of mezcal. Breakfast tasted great, though the choices were so similar that a longer stay could get boring. We weren’t very happy with our room because there were lots of earwigs, and the restroom didn’t offer enough privacy. There were also many earwigs in and around the pool.

We had a wonderful birthday stay with a big group of friends, booking several rooms as well as the apartment. The apartment was beautiful and huge. The grounds were lovely, and we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Breakfast was great, and the staff were so nice. We’d definitely recommend it.

The mountain sunset views were beautiful, and the hotel was a great value with amazing service. It’s a little out of the way, and some of the roads are unpaved, but we had an amazing stay.
