It’s an older place and not perfect, but the prices are reasonable and I’d stay again. The kids had a great time in the pool. It isn’t big, though it was clean. Our room was clean too, and since we stayed two nights, we used room service one day. Check-in was easy, and everyone at the front desk was consistently friendly and professional.

The building is gorgeous, and the little pool in the courtyard is really cute. It’s also easy to walk to the restaurants and shopping centers from here. After another hotel cancelled our reservation, the staff made room for us right away and were incredibly welcoming, especially Ivan. Highly recommend.

The location is in the tourist area, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away, and the price per night is very reasonable. I loved the old fashioned charm of this traditional Mexican hotel. It was built in 1949 by a French family. Ask the friendly staff, or the original family’s grandson, if you’d like to hear more. The hotel looks old, but that’s part of what charmed me. The bed was very comfortable, the view was quite nice, and it’s a lot of value for your money. A winner in my book. Say hello to Ivan at the desk.

We were visiting downtown with our two kids and couldn’t find parking because it was so crowded. A man was directing drivers to spaces and charging for it, so we followed his directions and paid. We didn’t know the space belonged to this hotel. The owner called the police, who took our vehicle, and the hotel wouldn’t talk with us or help, even though we offered to pay a fee. We’re tourists and don’t know Ensenada well. We explained that we hadn’t realized the spot was the hotel’s and apologized several times to both the hotel and police, but nothing helped. They had our car towed, and we didn’t know how to get back to where we were staying. Luckily, a local saw what happened and gave us a ride. We were nervous about getting into a stranger’s car, but he was an older man with his family. We didn’t mean to offend anyone. We trusted the guy directing cars, and I still don’t understand why the hotel wouldn’t work with us when we were willing to cover any fees or inconvenience we’d caused. Don’t stay here. Be careful about where you stay, not everyone is kind.
