Hotel Global Express

The location was handy, near the ADO station, Burger King, and a 24-hour restaurant, and my room was clean with a nice balcony. I really liked the stay, except Room 309 had no Wi-Fi inside. I had to step outside the door to get a signal, so Wi-Fi in the room and on the balcony would have made it perfect.

The pool is quite nice, parking is available, and there’s coffee and a choice of nearby restaurants. The staff were friendly too, with various things to see not too far away. The downside is that the rooms are small, and the balcony doors and windows have no fly screens. That leaves you choosing between sweating or using the AC, which blows straight onto you while you sleep. Given the alternatives, I’d still recommend it.

The area is very noisy, mainly because trucks keep coming and going at the gas station next door with their engines idling loudly. Inside, the staff were really friendly and helpful. There’s water in the lobby and vending machines, and although the pool is small, it’s a pleasant place to sit.

Our room’s AC only blew hot air instead of cooling. We asked to move, and the staff were very willing to help. The rooms were clean, though the hotel itself could use maintenance. It’s fine for spending the night, but nothing special or extravagant.
