Hotel Santo Domingo

I'm sharing this to help the hotel improve, not just to badmouth it. It has a lot of potential and could offer excellent service if everyone did their jobs properly. On my visit this past weekend, the room was dirty and had cockroaches, and there was no hot water. They said the pump had a problem. When I reported these issues, the manager was very rude and told me she'd refund my money if I wanted.

There are so many steps, and nobody is there to help with your luggage.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the hotel is a little far from the center, so you need to take a taxi to get there. I didn't like how the receptionist handled my request to call a taxi from the dispatch center. She didn't try calling while I was there, just said she'd called earlier and nobody answered, then left it at that and argued that taxis were passing outside.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with everything you need. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the pool is clean and in good condition.
