I really liked the junior suite, especially the full-glass, high-ceiling window 💕. I ended up spending most of my time in the room 😝 AC Hotel Guadalajara Providencia feels modern and clean, with a nice minimalist design. The Providencia location is safe and convenient, near food options and key areas. The pool and common areas are well kept, and the hotel has a good balance of business and leisure comfort. Staff were all very friendly and attentive to me and my needs. I also appreciated the little extras, including the 10usd f&b voucher and bonus Marriott Bonvoy points during my stay. It’s a solid, reliable choice in Guadalajara, and I’d definitely stay again on a future trip.

I had to cut my stay short because the building’s movement made me feel so ill. I booked May 25 to May 31 expecting a comfortable, relaxing visit, but by the second night, high winds had the building swaying and I was dealing with severe motion sickness, dizziness, and vertigo. I nearly lost my balance walking down the hallway and felt physically sick, like I was on a cruise ship. I no longer felt comfortable staying there. The way management handled it afterward made things worse. Supervisors Vianey and Daniel were compassionate and professional, but Irma Ortiz stuck to policy instead of using common sense or showing empathy about the unused nights. Only half of those nights were approved for refund consideration. Since I booked through Chase Travel/Expedia, I then spent nearly two hours caught between the hotel and third-party booking systems trying to resolve something that should have been handled reasonably from the start. This might suit people who like large high-rise business hotels, but the building movement, uncomfortable environment, and management response made it a terrible experience for me. I’d urge travelers to think carefully before booking, especially if they’re sensitive to motion, dizziness, or high-rise settings, or expect management to handle guest issues with flexibility and understanding.

The breakfast turned out to have a wide variety, despite seeming limited at first. There’s an egg station and fresh jamón sliced on a self-serve cutter. We also liked the infinity-style pool and bar, and the gym has complimentary water. Our room was trendy, clean, and comfortable. The upgraded room had a thoughtfully designed desk and sofa area, and the vanity made getting ready easy and worked for accessibility needs. The bed was very comfortable. We found the hotel offered a lot of value, and its location was convenient. With Uber, we could easily get anywhere we wanted. Privacy was limited, since we could see another Marriott property, City Express, directly from our room. Also, breakfast isn’t complimentary even for high-tier elite members. The hotel does offer coupons that cover about half the cost, $10 toward an approximately $20 per person breakfast. We’re really enjoying our stay. Special thanks to Daniel and Honey at the front desk, who showed genuine hospitality and went above and beyond. We look forward to coming back and would gladly recommend the hotel to family and friends.

The Wi-Fi was terrible. Calls kept dropping and the quality was poor, and I couldn’t even get email work done. That was a real problem on a work trip. The gym was also badly equipped: 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 exercise bike, some free weights, all crammed into a small area that might fit 5 or 6 people at most. Rooms and service were good, and the restaurant was pretty good too. The water refill stations on every floor are fantastic for Mexico. It’s pricey, though, and I expected decent amenities. There’s a lot of potential, but with these downsides, I can’t say we’ll be back. Thanks, AC.

The hotel itself is okay, but the employees were terrible. Staff in the pool area kept demanding tips and talking badly behind your back, even after they’d been tipped. The overnight reception staff weren’t friendly either. Before I’d even checked in, they were already telling me what I’d be charged, and they pressured me to pay a tip. They weren’t happy to help with any questions I had.
