Casa Arrayan

The hostess was kind and often on site, and the rooms were large. It’s also close to the central cathedral, and the price was good. But on the weekend I stayed, bands and DJs next door kept things VERY VERY VERY loud until 4am every night. I couldn’t sleep before then. The shower swung between boiling and freezing, so I waited until my next hotel to shower, and there were no toiletries. The outlets in my room were loose enough that my phone charger fell out and broke. I’d choose a quieter room next time.

The host was helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the patio was attractive. The shared kitchen was well equipped, and the location was central and easy to get around on foot. I could have used more surfaces to put my things on, plus a blanket.

Right in Centro, this is a clean, very inexpensive place if you don’t need luxury or cable TV. I had plenty of hot water, a comfortable mattress, and good WiFi for work and Zoom calls. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, cookware, and plastic containers, and there was a washer and dryer. The manager lives on site and was attentive and knowledgeable.

I’ve stayed here twice in the past five weeks and plan to make it my usual spot in Guadalajara. The Centro location and nice patio are great, and there’s an equipped kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful.
