Del Carmen Concept Hotel

We stayed four nights and enjoyed it. Local artists designed the rooms, the staff were very attentive, and the location made it convenient to explore the City. We ate at the downstairs restaurant several times and liked it. My one complaint was the toilet bowl cleaner smell that hit us when we first entered the room.

I got a great room, though I don't know what the other rooms were like and doubt they were all the same. There's a nice restaurant right at the front door.

The building dates back to the 1860s and is part of the historic architecture, which gives the hotel a lot of character. Inside, the rooms have a modern touch, and the place feels more like home than a regular hotel. It's a smaller branch, so the experience feels personal. The staff are amazing, from the maintenance crew to the general manager. Downstairs there's a great restaurant with lots of food options all day. As for the location, I'd give it a 10 out of 5, very, very, very nice.

I couldn't believe the racket. People were shouting at 6 a.m., a delivery arrived, and from 7 onward they dragged metal tables outside while calling to each other across the patio. It sounded like the building was being broken into. The restaurant noise is so bad this feels like rooms in a restaurant kitchen, not a hotel.
