The restaurant food and drinks were good, even though the menu is limited, and the restaurant staff were great. Housekeeping was okay but needs improvement. At the front desk, customer service was lacking, and the manager didn't seem to have good management skills. The service and property didn't measure up to Hilton, and I wouldn't return unless the current employees were replaced. I've since read reviews and feel management hasn't addressed the front desk clerks, who act superior and barely try to help guests. My main problem started when Nicole offered me an upgrade, then couldn't provide it for the whole stay. I agreed to check out halfway through and move to another room, but the upgraded room had neither the spectacular online view nor the terrace I'd originally booked. She didn't tell me that a refund required an email to accounting. After what happened on Sunday, Feb. 22nd, we decided to shorten our trip. I told Carolina I needed a Friday checkout date, but since I planned to leave Thursday evening, I needed my money on Wednesday. Again, I had to email to get a refund. They changed my checkout to Thursday morning, and Nicole wouldn't extend it to Friday. She said I had to book Thursday myself on the website. It wasn't worth $250 usd, so we left Thursday morning. All those hassles weren't worth the headache. The hotel also never contacted guests to explain that the city had been declared code red or what that meant. My husband heard from an outside vendor that it wasn't safe outside and he should return to the hotel. After all of this, I'm never doing business with this place again.

Housekeeping did a great job freshening the room each day, and having a coffee maker and mini fridge was helpful. There was no microwave, though. The room was very small and had no dresser drawer. They left two small bottles of drinking water daily, but extra bottles cost $40 Pesos each, about $2,30 USD, for roughly 12 ounces. You can't use the faucet water for brushing your teeth, which made things a bit challenging. Overall, the stay was very good.

The beds and pillows were so comfortable and restful that leaving the room was hard. I love Hilton beds and pillows, and this stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Histórico lived up to that. The breakfast buffet was unforgettable, worth every peso for the breathtaking panoramic view. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, handy for exploring the historic center, with a romantic, refined feel. Everything felt special from arrival, almost like a dream. An outstanding five-star stay I'd gladly repeat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were really happy with our stay. When we learned a concert next door would be loud for several hours, the staff moved us to an inside room. It was on the small side, but clean and, most importantly, quiet. Everyone at the front desk was welcoming and helpful, including with our bags, arranging a taxi to the bus station, and sharing tips when we asked. We found the hotel perfectly pleasant, despite what some other reviews said.

The hotel is clean and in a great spot, and check-in went smoothly. My only real issue was the room: there was no window facing outdoors. When I asked about it, I was told all the King Bed rooms face inward and have no view.
