Hampton Inn by Hilton Guadalajara/Expo

Maya was so kind and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Really recommend it! We had a horrible stay at Hampton by the Guadalajara airport, where we'd been going for years, so we tried a new location instead. It turned out to be the best decision, and we won't stay at the other one again.

We got here at 3am after leaving our first hotel, a mutuo vive down the street, because it was absolutely disgusting. Hilton was a relief. The private parking garage felt safe and had plenty of space, and the cleaning staff did a great job. They kindly check whether you want the room cleaned. Breakfast is free, and the juices, especially Maracuya, were really good. There's also a small gym that's enough for a quick workout. A great place for a weekend stay.

The staff are friendly, and there's a dedicated work area with desktop computers and desks. Rooms are standard and breakfast is modest, with Mexican food. It's clean and simple, suitable for business travelers without big ambitions. The window-mounted air conditioners are noisy, so they may bother people who are light sleepers. The elevator is very narrow and noisy, and may be uncomfortable for anyone afraid of elevators.

I slept well in my quiet fifth-floor room, which had two clean, comfortable double beds, nice bedding and pillows, and an AC unit that wasn't too loud. As a light sleeper, I was glad about that. The hotel is clean and quiet, and only a few minutes from everything in Guadalajara. Check-in was easy, and they recognized my Hilton Diamond status with two small bottles of water. I did notice that, unlike other Hampton Inns in Mexico, there were no snacks. Breakfast was decent and about what I expect from Hampton Inns in Mexico. Most of the staff were friendly and service was good, but one night I came back late and the front desk employee was rude and unhelpful when explaining how to unlock the door. That was frustrating, though otherwise I appreciated the stay.
