I booked and paid the full amount through Booking.com, but they canceled for no reason. I arrived and waited outside for 40 minutes before anyone opened the gate. When a young woman finally came, she was rude and told me to wait and send a WhatsApp message. After another wait, she said my booking had been canceled. When I asked why, she said they’d sent me a message in Spanish and I hadn’t replied. The message said “con gusto.” That was enough to cancel my booking? This was unbelievably unprofessional and the worst experience I’ve had in Mexico. It left me with a very bad impression of the country. Too bad this is how they run the business. No respect for rules.

We ended up leaving after one night and didn’t stay the next night because of the service and condition of the place. The sheets were dirty and there was dog hair all over the couch. I asked the front desk to clean while we were out. They said it was done and that the remote had been replaced and was working, but when we got back, it wasn’t. They also said early check-in was possible, so we paid for it, then five minutes later told us there were actually no rooms available to check in early. The place was dirty, whatever the pictures suggest. They offered a lower rate if I came back, but I won’t be returning.

The shower was dirty, with mold on the tiles, and the couch was filthy plywood. There were bed bugs too. Unreal. I left right away, and now they’re refusing to give my money back. Marriott is down the street, so don’t waste your time.

The apartment was a good size and clean. The A/C never worked during my stay. They came promptly to check when I asked, but didn’t fix it.
