The room was clean and spacious, with a fan and A/C that worked very well, and the beds were comfortable and quiet. But the shower barely had any water coming out, so I couldn’t wash my hair for the two days we were there. We also found there was no toilet paper, but asked for some and got it, so that was sorted. It felt expensive given the shower problem. The hotel is in the colonia part of Puerto Morelos, quite a long walk from the beach. There are apparently colectivos and taxis, though we had a car and were fine. We booked at the last minute and paid 2,000 MXN for two nights.

It’s a simple, clean place with working Wi-Fi. You can sign into your Netflix account on the TV or watch YouTube. Each room with a double bed comes with two towels.

The shower didn’t work, and security was poor. An open-air gym across the street blasted music at 6 a.m.
