Hotel Flamingos

I ended up choosing this hotel after two others were fully booked and I couldn't reserve a room. The price was good, and the receptionist was pleasant. But music from a nearby nightclub woke me at 3 a.m., the bathroom had no shower curtain, and the room needs updating. A maintenance man was yelling like crazy, and the internet was out on our last day.

The room was small but clean, and the staff were friendly. The price was very economical, so you get what you pay for. Still, the Wi-Fi and elevator weren't working, and the street noise was so loud it felt like freeway traffic was passing right by the bed.

The toilets started smelling in the evenings, so we had to keep the doors shut. We also couldn't sleep because of the traffic noise, like the bed was right in the street with cars rushing past. The rooms facing the street should cost 50% less; it felt like torture at night. We still have one more night here, and I can't wait to leave Guadalajara tomorrow. This hotel has left us so exhausted that our time in Guadalajara has been ruined. The women at reception looked miserable and tired.

The staff were nice, and the place was fairly clean, though there was a clump of hair in the middle of the bathroom. I also found cockroaches in there, and the Wi-Fi connection in the rooms was poor.
