Hotel RC Plaza Liberación

It doesn't have air conditioning, just a fan, and the building is quite worn from years of use. Still, it's clean and one of my favorites because the price and location work so well for me. You get a view of the cathedral, and it serves its purpose when all you need is a good night's sleep. It's a budget-friendly place, though it may not suit a discerning traveler.

7/27/23 Room #2 The terrace, view, food, and atmosphere were good, especially with mariachi music. Check the schedule and days. It's very central, the sheets were clean, and the TV was good. Even so, I wouldn't stay again. The July heat was rough with no air conditioning. We had to leave the window open for a breeze, which let mosquitoes in, and the floor fans were the only relief. There was no hot water, so showering was uncomfortable. There was nowhere to put toiletries after showering or set out your shampoo, which was broken. They didn't provide any welcome amenities, not even water.

For 1,000 pesos a night, we got a room with three double beds. There's public parking across the street. The hotel is right in central Guadalajara, close to cafes and bars, the Degollado Theater, and the cathedral. Great location, great place.

The location is obviously very good, and the underground parking across the street is secure. Most of the staff were very friendly. The young guy on the afternoon shift seemed a bit lazy, but everyone else was nice. I'm giving it 3 stars because the bathroom cleanliness needs attention. Also, a pane of glass was missing from my room window when I arrived, letting in a lot of noise and cold air. I asked for extra blankets, which they provided, and they did fix the window eventually, but only after the third night.
