Six Hotel Guadalajara Degollado

There’s not much in the way of extras, but at this price that’s fine. You get a clean room in a well-kept hotel right in the city center, and I’d recommend it if you want to be in the busiest tourist area. It’s just off the main street and easy to find if you check the map. You’ll need to walk a little with your bags, about two blocks, which isn’t really a big deal.

Despite what some other reviews say, it was actually very quiet. The price was excellent, and the location was great.

The room itself was fine, and the location was excellent. But within 45 minutes of giving them my credit card, fraudulent transactions started showing up. The card never left my possession. It makes me think an employee with criminal intent may have compromised it, and that has seriously tainted any positive feelings I had about Six Hotel.

Keep in mind that downtown gets noisy at night. We hadn’t considered that, and sleeping was a little difficult. The hotel is very nice, offers tours, and the staff helped us in several ways, including arranging transportation to pick us up at the airport. The only thing we didn’t like was having to ask for toilet paper and towels even though they knew there were four of us.
