We loved Pajaro Azul and our host Duncan was great. It was a little noisy because the place is next to the street, but we liked leaving the windows open at night and enjoying the balcony view every evening.

We spent four days in this house and it was the worst time ever. It stinks, the showers are clogged, and the bathroom has no doors. The sheets and towels were ugly, and there were insects in the beds. What’s going on with people who rent out places like this and don’t act in good faith, just collect the money? No more Airbnb for us.

I’ve stayed in a few places in Guanajuato, and this hotel is still one of my favorites. The rooms are nice and the value for money is 5/5. It’s just steps from the city center, with all sorts of places nearby, including cafes, bars, restaurants, parking, and pharmacies.

The room has a rustic charm and was clean, and the bed was incredibly soft without leaving me with back pain. The owner speaks fluent English, which made communication easy, and the location is excellent. Be sure to try the coffee shop downstairs, it has the best coffee in Guanajuato. It’s very affordable too. If you’re driving to this small town, you might consider staying for a few days. Highly recommend this guesthouse!
