We booked the house through Airbnb for a group. The owner was friendly at first, but the stay quickly became concerning. She had confirmed parking was available on Airbnb, yet there was none. We also found no hot water, and several things in the house were already damaged when we arrived. Later, I was charged for a damaged door frame. My guests thought the damage looked deliberate, as if tools had been used. I asked to see the camera recordings. The owner first denied having cameras, even though there was a monitor in its own room and a hard drive recording around the clock, apparently accessible for free. She later acknowledged the cameras, but Airbnb decided in the owner's favor. I wouldn't recommend this option. If you do stay, take photos of everything inside before settling in, so you have a record and can avoid being defrauded.

The dolls in the display case seem to move whenever you look away, and that’s just part of the unsettling atmosphere here. There are lots of paintings and family photos, plus old-fashioned decor, which can make the place feel strange even though it looks cozy. If haunted houses are your thing, you might like it. Otherwise, look elsewhere. And if you still rent this Airbnb, bring a crucifix and incense to keep the ghost away.
