I almost never write reviews, but this stay was the worst hotel experience of my life. The furniture was very old, there was a lot of fine black dust on the bed, and the toilet seemed easy to clog. The website said WiFi was available, but it was out for the whole day because of a problem with the provider. I need it for work, so I spoke with the owner. She didn’t explain what she could do for us or offer any compensation. I found her unprofessional and not responsible in her role. If you can, reconsider booking here.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, but I wouldn’t recommend the ground floor room we had. It had hardly any windows, so we needed all the lights on even in daytime, and there weren’t many lights to begin with. The room still felt dark. The walls are thin, and you hear people coming and going. The main gate and entrance door slam shut because they have no stoppers. One towel was partly torn, and shouldn’t have been given to paying guests. Maybe the upper rooms are great, but the ground floor rooms definitely aren’t.

Getting the keys took a little effort to understand, but the instructions were clear, and following them worked out fine. The location is a short walk from all the sights, and the place has a modern, well-equipped feel, with a cool design and unusual layout. I gave it 3 stars because room Eclipse needed maintenance. The walls were damaged, some lamp shades were missing, the bathtub plug wouldn’t open, and the patio door handle was coming loose, among a few other issues. The price is reasonable, but those broken details were disappointing. With better upkeep, this could be amazing.

This is the only place I stay NOW when I visit Guanajuato. I loved it from my first stay. A real hidden gem, with friendly, accommodating staff and rooms that are very clean and comfortable. You can walk anywhere in town, and it’s an 8 min walk to jardin union y teatro Juarez, “DOWN TOWN”. The price is great for what you get, and breakfast is included most of the time. It’s more than a basic breakfast, tasty and healthy. The hotel is beautiful, and they’re opening a New restaurant to the public soon, “In october”. I believe most ingredients will come from local farmers and be pesticide free or organic. Can't wait! 😁

The hotel staff were hospitable and treated us really well. It was a very good experience.
