Great value, with spectacular views from both the rooms and upper balcony. The rooms are basic but clean, spacious, and have what you'd need. There's a shared kitchen and fridge too. Getting up takes a bit of a climb, so it may not suit someone very unfit or old. I thought the view was even better than mirador el pilpila.

The rooftop view is AWESOME, with beautiful sunsets every day. The price is super reasonable, and while it feels more like an airbnb than a hotel, they do have room cleaning service. It's tucked deep in an alley at the top of a hill. The climb is demanding, especially with two stupidly heavy suitcases, so I'd recommend it to young people but absolutely not seniors. There was no hot water at night, so I had to shower in the afternoon. It can also get noisy at night, especially on holidays. I couldn't sleep well one night because it was Revolution Day.

You get a great view right in the center of town, but the furniture is in bad shape and there's nowhere comfortable to sit. The hot water usually doesn't work, and walking up the hill to reach the apartment is very difficult.

Please read this before booking, especially if you're Korean. I chose the accommodation for its promised panoramic view of Guanaruato, but the whole stay was awful, from check-in onward. The room and security also felt poor. Google Maps sent me up a steep, neglected hill to the wrong place. A local helped me find the accommodation, but the check-in desk was elsewhere, so I had to go back down. They hadn't told me this when I booked, which was incredibly frustrating. I have altitude sickness, so even a short climb is hard for me, and the disorganization made me furious. After that difficult check-in, I was given instructions for the room, but the lock wouldn't work. I struggled with it in a dark hallway, and the whole thing felt dangerous. They should explain how to use the lock or have staff help. Cockroaches scurrying in the hallway made dealing with the lock even worse. We found that only our reserved room was occupied. There was no receptionist or anyone around to ask for help, so we felt unsafe in case something happened. The rooms had no double locks, leaving no way to deal with a break-in. It didn't seem safe for one or two women to stay. I had looked forward to the rooftop, but it felt too scary to use. And there was no hot water, lol. Thank goodness we only booked one night. Hope you choose wisely and have a safe trip.

I'm sad I can't give this a zero. The view is nice, and it's pretty good value, but the high floor isn't the only drawback. The entrance is incredibly hard to find and there are no signs, so you have to climb stairs looking for it. The dogs bark like crazy. If the old lady next door hadn't helped, I might have run away. It took help from three locals just to find the place. The water was amazing, and La Cucaracha was provided too. I strongly recommend not coming here alone. Reception is quite far away, and when no one is in the building the windows can't be locked, so someone could just try to get in from outside. There's nobody to ask for help if you need it. Had I known it was unmanned, I would've thought twice about staying. There are plenty of other places with nice views.
