Alegre Amanecer By YALP

Buyer beware. We booked Alegre Amanecer by YALP through Expedia, then the condo operator, C, told us Expedia wouldn't release our payment until the day before arrival. He said he would have to cancel because he couldn't get paid right away. Expedia said C knew its terms and conditions. After some back and forth, C canceled our reservation and tried to sell us a much more expensive place instead, saying he had hundreds of other units on Expedia and could find us another one. We already had flights booked, and thankfully Expedia helped us secure different accommodation. If C has so many listings, you'd think he'd know how Expedia works. We spent hours on the phone sorting this out, and Expedia was the one that fixed it. YALP and C only seemed interested in upselling us. Avoid YALP properties if you want a stress-free vacation.
