Celeste Beach Residences and Spa

We booked an ocean view, but our room actually looked over the pool and was very noisy. They said the room name was ocean view, which didn't make sense. After a lot of negotiating, we were moved to a room with a real ocean view. For an 11-day trip at this price, we were incredibly disappointed. The hotel feels tired, and the room, grounds, and pool all need a good update. There also weren't enough restaurants or places to eat. The dress code for men was frustrating: we saw a woman allowed into the restaurant in ripped jean shorts, while men had to wear long pants.

The food and drinks were definitely good, and there were lots of fun pool and evening activities. The crowd was typically 40+. We recommend joining the perfect couple game show, the prize is worth it! The resort was beautiful and the staff incredible. We found chairs by the pool easily around 8am each morning, and chair police came by hourly to stop people from hogging them. We upgraded to premium to be closer to the beach and pool, but it wasn't necessary. The best part of that upgrade was served breakfast instead of the buffet. There are lots of stairs and a big hill down to the ocean. Just a heads-up for anyone with mobility issues: there are ways around it, but you may feel limited. Highly recommend this resort.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the views were beautiful, and both the pools and ocean were fantastic. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. I thought the resort was absolutely wonderful and can't believe people rate it so low. I highly recommend it and will be back next winter.

The service was top notch throughout, and housekeeping did a great job. The resort itself is nice, though dated, and its setting makes it the most picturesque Secrets we've visited. Food was hit or miss, but our meals at Bordeaux, the French restaurant, were really enjoyable. The Mexican restaurant had thoughtful decor, while the others looked more thrown together. It also felt a bit odd that all of them except Oceana were grouped together in the same area. More pool chairs would have helped, since it was almost impossible to find one if you arrived after 8am.
