Hotel La Casa Bixi

Huichapan is a beautiful town, and the staff here were super friendly. A lovely place to stay.

Casa bixi is a nice boutique hotel, with spacious rooms and architecture that feels typically Mexican.

The house itself is a dream, with a lovely garden and classic furniture that’s generally in great shape. The rooms are very well maintained too. Service could have been better, and breakfast from 6:30 am to 9 am feels a bit demanding if you’re hoping to relax. Still, I had a good experience.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The price feels completely out of line with the service. My partner and I were there on the night of December 24th, and hammering woke us at 9 am on the 25th. The house is noisy, and our room was dark when we arrived. You have to ask for hot water, and we couldn't find an iron when we wanted one. The TV was very old and only had a few free-to-air channels. There was also an old DVD player. We only noticed the next day that they had several movies, which nobody had offered us. Beside the bed was a very small-looking trundle, and I felt the springs when I sat on it to change my shoes. Only two of the four lights worked, and there were other issues too. I know it's difficult, but look for other options.
