Microtel Inn and Suites Toluca

It's inexpensive and clean, with simple rooms. My bed was a queen, and while there was no fridge or microwave, the lights and plumbing worked fine. The staff treated me well and were patient with my very limited Spanish, so I'd return. Just know it's by the airport, far east of downtown in an industrial area. There's a nice mall close by, but not much else.

I called the reservations department on October 8, 2024. Mr. Julián Benavides answered at 10:19 a.m. and gave me a number to reach him. At 4:20 p.m., his colleague answered when I called to confirm my booking at the Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Toluca. But when I arrived at the hotel at 7:33 p.m., the man at reception said I had no reservation. They didn't honor my booking. I suppose the man canceled it arbitrarily and gave the room to another guest. With rooms in such high demand at the time, I felt discriminated against.

The rooms are small, but the hotel is nice. When the electricity went out, they had emergency lights, so that was okay. The stairwell, though, had no lights.

The beds are big and good, and the rooms feel new and clean. Breakfast was great, and water, coffee, and tea were available around the clock.
