I’ve been across continents and through dozens of countries, staying in every kind of place, from Himalayan tea houses in Nepal to hammocks on slow boats through the Amazon, and this might be my new favorite. Edwin is a superb host and a genuinely fantastic person. He’s put together an amazing staff and the best drinks on the island. He goes above and beyond to look after guests and the people who flock to his bohemian beachside cafe and bar. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserves one. If I’m ever lucky enough to return to Holbox, I hope to stay here again.

A wonderful dog-friendly hotel right on the beach. The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly, and breakfast was delicious every morning. We really enjoyed our five-day stay.

I’d start my mornings with a book and those 15 steps down to the ocean. Coffee and breakfast would arrive while people wandered along the beach. The owner was helpful, and had some entertaining stories too. It’s a clean, charming little place right by the sand, and I booked excursions through them without ever feeling pressured. I’d stay here whenever I return to Holbox.

I haven’t stayed overnight, but the restaurant and bar have become my favorite spot on Holbox. The octopus tacos were the best I had on the island, and the espresso and service were great too. It’s right on the beach, and the owner even brought out a TV so we could watch the F1 race. 10 out of 10.

The beds were new and really comfortable, I loved them. You can eat right on the beach here, which I didn’t find anywhere else. Breakfast was great, with a fruit plate and a choice of à la carte American or European style. Thanks for the nice stay, though I gained 4 lbs 😔. There are outdoor showers for after a swim.
