The hotel is new, clean, and beautifully designed, and the pool is nice. I also liked the location. It’s close to the sea, but being a little back from the beach worked well, and the nightlife corner is nearby while this end of the circuit stays more peaceful. Everything is still within easy reach. I’d read complaints about the bar across the street, but it didn’t bother me. The music wasn’t very loud and stopped around 12:30, which isn’t especially late. A perfect stay.

The rooms are attractive and well equipped, and the staff were very kind. The cleaning team deserves special credit for keeping everything spotless each day. Still, noise from the hostel opposite was a major problem for us. Our room near the road got loud music until midnight or 1 a.m., to the point that it felt like being in a nightclub. If you go to bed early or are sensitive to noise, the charm may not make up for it.

The only nice thing was the nearby animal shelter, with lots of cute cats and dogs that welcome visitors. The hotel itself was easily our worst and most expensive stay in Holbox and Mexico, and we found it unpleasant and overpriced. We’d just come from a perfect, quiet holiday apartment and disliked this place from the start. The receptionist seemed completely unmotivated. If you hadn’t bought a ferry ticket yet, there was apparently a cleaning fee of about €3, which felt odd. Half the rooms face the street and a restaurant playing loud house music until midnight. The thin, large windows let in a lot of sound even when shut, and taxis started passing at 6:30 when the island woke up. Light from the outside hotel area came through the bathroom, so proper sleep was difficult anyway. Worst of all, the shower was cold. At checkout they hurriedly inspected the room, which also felt strange.

We’ll definitely come back. The breakfast was delicious, with a great view, and the shaded pool area felt peaceful and refreshing. The beach is only a block away, and the location is close enough to town while still away from the noise. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with lovely design and great service. You can tell it’s new, and I expect it’ll keep getting better.
