Our room was a colorful dream, and waking up to that amazing view was lovely. The owner was wonderful, friendly, attentive, flexible, and personable. They let us check in early so we could drop our bags. Thanks so much for a clean, amazing stay! ❤️ We’d definitely come back.

It’s a short walk to the beach, and the owner was easy to communicate with. Our top-floor room at Casa Vainilla was spacious, full of light, and decorated in fun, bright colors. From the balcony we had a nice partial ocean view. There was hot water in the shower, a mini fridge, basic cutlery, a king sized bed, and a hammock. The walk into the restaurant area in the centre takes about 10-15 minutes, which was pretty killer in the hottest part of the day. Still, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Roberta’s meals were the highlight for us, and really shouldn’t be missed. Some of the best food we’ve had while traveling in Mexico. I don’t even like pancakes, but I ordered hers TWICE! Since the place is a little way from town and we visited during a serious storm, having such good food on site at very reasonable prices was a huge comfort. We stayed at Casa Vainilla in January 2023 and had a lovely visit. We didn’t have a sea view, though the rooftop view was gorgeous. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a dining table, mini fridge, hammock, two balconies, and an excellent shower with hot water and great pressure. Highly recommend booking and eating here!

We’ve stayed here twice and had a great time both visits. Alejandro and Roberta are such kind hosts. Sadly, Roberta stopped cooking recently, so we missed out on the great food during our second stay. The rooms are lovely, decorated with a lot of care and great to spend time in. The rooftop is lovely too, a nice place to relax in the hammock. And being so close to the beach is a big plus in Holbox!

I worked remotely from here and can recommend it. The room was spacious, with good wifi, and everything about the stay was good. Alex, the owner, is really nice and speaks good English. The roof terrace is a nice extra, and the centre is close enough for restaurants and coffee places. Fuegos nearby is really good. We had plates, cutlery, cups, and free coffee in the room, but no tea. The only thing I missed was a water dispenser for refills, so bring some water along. Enjoy your stay!
