Paco at reception was super friendly ✨. The hotel has a relaxed feel, with nice rooms that have balconies, a chill pool on the ground level, and another pool by the rooftop terrace lounge. The bar was never open and the amenities felt a bit limited, which could disappoint anyone wanting constant service. I liked the hands-off atmosphere, though, and felt at home and relaxed. It’s a little out of the way, but Holbox is small, so town is still a short walk. I liked being away from the bustle at night.

Breakfast was a real disappointment: just three small pieces of fruit, two slices of bread with butter, and a bun. Eggs cost extra, too. The toilet flush broke, and even after we reported it twice and it was fixed, it stopped working again after one use. There was nobody at reception when we arrived, so we waited about 10 minutes. Not a huge deal, but annoying after a long flight, drive, and ferry. The rooms were only okay, and I had an allergic reaction that may have been caused by the cleaning products. The manager said there’s no hot water at the hotel because that’s apparently the case across the whole island. Still, it’s pretty awful not being able to shower properly after a day at the beach. Definitely not the best place to stay.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel itself is beautiful and close to the beach. Everyone on staff was welcoming and kind. Paco at reception helped us a lot with organizing our departure, which gave us peace of mind and meant a lot to us. Angel greeted us warmly at breakfast every morning and made the start of each day more enjoyable. We loved our stay at Soho Boutique Holbox and highly recommend it! 🌴✨

The rooms were lovely, and the pool and loungers were good. Everything was very clean, including the shared areas, and our room was cleaned daily. We had no trouble getting hot water. The service was friendly, though it would have helped to get a better introduction when we arrived. We didn’t hear about breakfast, the rooftop pool, or the gym, and only found out they existed when checking out after five days. There was no information in the room either. Breakfast was listed on the booking, but when you’re booking different places ahead of time it’s tricky to remember what each hotel offers, so a reminder would’ve been nice. It’s a fair walk to town, around 15-20 minutes, but a fine distance. Nearby restaurants are only about five minutes away, and you can also rent a bike or get a taxi. Once it gets dark, a phone torch comes in handy.
