Hotel Posada Del Mar

We stayed just one night, before moving into the glamorous house our daughter rented for the rest of the week for her wedding on Isla, on the other side of the island. The hotel isn't four-star, but it's extremely close to the beach and to popular shops and places to eat. From the street, I could see how close it was to the beach. The view was very nice, and it wasn't noisy. The lobby was clean and spacious, with a restroom off the main room and an area to leave luggage, though it wasn't secured. My room faced the beach and was clean and spacious, with two beds. There were two chairs on the patio, just right for coffee before heading out. The door I thought was the entrance actually led to an open space, and I don't think it connected to the office, so I used the sliding glass doors from the patio to come and go. There's a nice pool and bar area, plus a spa with outdoor massages in an enclosed area just off the pool. The bar also serves as a restaurant, but I didn't eat there. Like other reviewers, I had no hot water, though thankfully it was only for that one night. Lobby staff were pleasant sometimes, but not always, and nobody helped with our bags. Still, if you're staying one night and spending most of the time in the ocean, it'll be alright.

Our son loved this place and says it's one of his favorite stays ever. He spent many nights swimming in the pool until it closed. One night there was live music at the restaurant, which was fun. The beach is right across the street, and I wish we'd had longer to enjoy it. We also found a little breakfast restaurant a couple of blocks away that became another favorite for our son. All the staff were friendly.

We had a peaceful, lovely stay at this calm hotel. A wonderful breakfast was waiting for us in the morning, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend it.

The restaurant was really good, and the service there was friendly, though it wasn't included. The hotel's location and view were unbeatable, with the beach right in front and shops and restaurants in the center nearby. Check-in went fine, but the room we were first assigned was still completely dirty from the previous guests. The replacement room was really dirty too, but we were too tired to complain.
