The sunsets and the hotel's location were lovely, but the stay itself was a mess. We booked a suite on the 8th floor, and the balcony door wouldn't shut all the way. The bed was small, there was gum on the headboard, and one balcony chair had a fresh cigarette burn. My family and I had three other rooms too, and those patio doors had the same problem. No complimentary shampoo or conditioner, either. The all-inclusive setup was confusing. Plenty of things around the hotel looked included, but cost extra. Only the cheapest liquor was covered, and it tasted watered down. Drinks took ages: I waited 27 minutes at the bar. The shots seemed half water, and the beer mixed drinks were about a quarter beer. You could bring a bigger cup and ask for plain beer, though, and get up to a liter, or about three watered-down shots. Food was the same at all three included restaurants, morning, noon, and night, for three days. The liquor service closed at 11 pm and reopened at 11 am. I asked at the front desk at 11 pm for bottle service and snacks in my room, but room service wasn't available. We won't be back to Ixtapa, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to family or friends.

We’re having a really good stay, and the buffet has plenty of choice with good food and variety from day to day. Cristian Morales at The Main Restaurant was so friendly and attentive, well above what I expected. Dulce Cristal’s Zumba class was fun too, with great music and a really fast rhythm. I struggled to keep up, but enjoyed it.

You can walk straight out to a beautiful beach in front of the hotel, and the pools are nice too. It’s a lovely place with good service and good food. The facilities could do with a bit more maintenance.

Olivia and Susana at the front desk were amazing, and I liked the clean, spacious room with its great view. The location also made it easy to get to shops, restaurants, and buses. That’s where the good parts end. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or disrespected at a hotel in Mexico. Staff were rude on several occasions, and no one even tried to speak English. The signs were all in Spanish, so we missed a lot of information. Apart from breakfast, the food was awful and never seemed to change. Some dishes were hard to identify because the descriptions were only in Spanish. Lines for drinks and meals got really long if you weren’t there at just the right time. I do not recommend this hotel.
