For the price, this is a five-star stay for me. The pool was a real highlight, and the small hotel is clean and quiet at night. The rooms are about what you'd expect for the rate. Everything sits around a courtyard with parking. It's a way from the center, so having a car helps, though a taxi or a long walk are options.

The rooms were spotless and well cared for, with hot water and strong water pressure. The hotel is outside the center, which keeps road noise to almost nothing. Town and most restaurants are about 15 minutes away, but a taxi costs just 30 pesos. I had a great stay at Hotel Hacienda Izamal and would gladly return if I'm back in the area.

There are lots of Ancient Ruins within walking distance, and the area feels friendly and fantastic. The pool is only a few steps from the rooms, with plenty of loungers, and you can park inside the complex. Staff were very attentive. There's beer for sale in the fridge at the front desk, and the WiFi was decent. The rooms were more than comfortable enough for a good night's rest.

A magnificent and affordable place. It's a former hacienda turned hotel, with spacious rooms and a clean pool. If you want to experience staying in a hacienda, I highly recommend it.
