The restaurant is pretty bad and expensive, so I'd skip it. The hotel itself has friendly staff, good service, nice rooms, and a pool with loungers. It's in a perfect spot on the main plaza, and while there's no hotel parking, there is plenty of street parking. Glad it's open again under new management.

The old facilities belong to the former Jalpan Mission. We were quoted one rate on WhatsApp and a different one at reception, but the very kind ladies honored the WhatsApp price. There isn't parking, and you need to move your car every two hours to avoid a ticket. They said at reception that they'd make any drink we wanted even though there was no bar service, but we didn't use the bar or restaurant.

We tried the bar and liked its prices and laid-back feel, a nice place to chat and relax. Breakfasts were delicious and generous, too. The pool is large and pleasantly warm for Jalpan's climate. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a very comfortable bed. It had its own Wi-Fi network, with more networks in the common areas to prevent crowding. The hotel is right on the main square.

The staff were all very friendly, and communication over WhatsApp was great. They always reply. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have air conditioning. Internet isn't available in the rooms, but you can get it in the restaurant, garden, and pool. The location is perfect, right in the center of Jalpan.
